Nottingham Forest hero completes second transfer less than four months after promotion

Nottingham Forest promotion hero Philip Zinckernagel last night completed his loan move to Standard Liege after only two-and-a-half months at Olympiacos.

Zinckernagel completes the move after starting only one of the Greek club's opening three games of the season. He was also excluded from Carlos Corberean's side for the upcoming European campaign, despite featuring in all of the qualifiers in the Champions League and Europa League.

Despite only signing for the Greek Super League outfit from Watford in June, the Danish winger will now participate in the Belgium Pro League A with Standard. The Reds are currently ninth in the league after three victories in their opening seven fixtures.

The winger made 50 appearances on loan for Steve Cooper's side last season and played a key role in helping the Reds secure promotion to the Premier League. After scoring six goals and registering seven assists for Forest, he signed for Evangelos Marinakis-owned Olympiacos.

In a statement on their website, Standard confirmed the move: "Standard welcomes Philip Zinckernagel and wishes him the best at our club."
