Nottingham Forest have released their squad numbers for the new season – and there are one or two surprises in there.
Goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon retains the No.1 shirt, despite the Reds having brought in Arijanet Muric on loan from Manchester City this summer.
The latter will wear No.49, while fellow shot-stoppers Jordan Smith and Luke Steele take numbers 12 and 15, respectively.
Striker Daryl Murphy is understood to be among a number of players told to find a new team this summer, but he has been handed the No.9 jersey.
New signing Yuri Ribeiro, who joined from Benfica, takes No.2, while teammate Alfa Semedo, who completed a loan switch from the Portuguese club, has No.17.
Fellow summer arrivals Rafa Mir, Sammy Ameobi, Tiago Silva, Albert Adomah and Samba Sow take the numbers 14, 19, 28, 37 and 21.
Joe Worrall is back from his loan spell at Rangers and has seen his number change to four, while Alex Milosevic (6) and Matty Cash (11) have also taken new numbers.
Meanwhile, Youngsters Brennan Johnson (40), Jayden Richardson (45) and Alex Mighten (48) have been allocated squad numbers for the first time.
Sabri Lamouchi’s men will with a City Ground clash against West Bromwich Albion, as they look to mount a promotion push this term.
