Nottingham Forest handed injury boost ahead of Chelsea FA Cup clash

Nottingham Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi has provided an injury update to his squad ahead of the FA Cup clash with Chelsea on Sunday.

Chelsea host the Championship side in a repeat of the fixture at the same stage last season, and will be hoping for a repeat of the 2-0 victory.

Forest go into the match off the back of three league wins in a row, which has left them in fourth position in the Championship table.

And there is more good news for the side ahead of the trip to Stamford Bridge, with Lamouchi confirming that defender Yuri Ribeiro could return for the match.

The Portuguese left-back has been out of action since the stat of November, with his last match coming in the 1-0 East Midland derby victory over Derby County.

A knee problem has meant that he has missed the last 10 league games.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Lamouchi delivered positive news on the full-back: “He should be back for the next game," he said, as reported by NottinghamshireLive .

Although there could be less positive news for Forest on central defender Chema, who lasted just 27 minutes of the win over Blackburn on New Year's Day, with NottinghamshireLive reporting that it is unlikely the 27-year-old will be available for the trip to Stamford bridge.

“The last game against Wigan, in the last 10 minutes he complained about a pain,” Lomouchi said.

“He started, but after half an hour it was much better to change it.

“We changed it and Robbo did the job.”
