Nottingham Forest goalkeeper joins Nuneaton Borough on loan

Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Jordan Wright has joined Nuneaton Borough on loan for a month.

The Forest Under-23s keeper is set to make his debut in the Southern League Central Division fixture against Biggleswade Town today.

Wright, who is from nearby Hinckley, used to watch Boro and is following in the footsteps of current Forest keeper Jordan Smith, who spent the 2015/16 season at Liberty Way, and ex-Red Dimitar Evtimov.

"I watched Boro a lot with my dad last time they were in the Conference, and I have been inspired by Jordan Smith and Dimitar Evtimov, who both went out on loan to Boro before returning to Forest and breaking into the first team," he said. "I hope to follow in their footsteps."

Wright has experience at Nuneaton's level, having played for Kettering last season, as well as spells with Grantham in the Northern Premier League and Alfreton in the National League North.
