Nottingham Forest given chance to answer Keylor Navas transfer pleas as PSG make decision

Paris Saint-Germain are said to be poised to put former Nottingham Forest loan goalkeeper Keylor Navas up for sale this summer.

It is understood Navas asked PSG to give him a chance to challenge for their No 1 spot with Gianluigi Donnarumma in the new season, after an impressive loan spell at the City Ground.

But L'Equipe (via La Gambeta) report that the Costa Rican stopper will instead be put on the transfer list, having one more year left on his contract.

Forest fans had pleaded with Navas to return to the City Ground this summer, after he posted a video of his best saves for the Reds last season.

Navas posted on Instagram over the weekend, writing: “About last season… I can’t wait to start again!!!”

His words were accompanied by video clips of his best saves for Forest as he helped keep them in the Premier League.

One supporter said “Come back to Forest Keylor”, while another asked: “Are you coming back to the city ground?! Please say you are!!”

A third fan added: “Wish you were doing it all again at the City Ground. Having played all over the world, I bet you can't name many better atmospheres in football, than a rocking City Ground!”

And a fourth supporter said: “Come back to Nottingham Forest, Keylor.”

Forest want to sign a new No 1 goalkeeper this summer, with Dean Henderson their top target, although the Reds are being forced to wait on Manchester United to make a decision on his future amid their own search for a new No 1.
