Blackburn Rovers are considering a move for Nottingham Forest flop Arijanet Muric.
According to journalist Alan Nixon, of the Sun, Rovers are looking to strengthen their goalkeeping department and have identified the Manchester City stopper as somebody who could fit the bill.
Kosovo international Muric endured a disappointing loan at the City Ground having made a couple of high-profile errors, one of which came in the Reds' opening day defeat to West Brom.
He quickly lost his place to Brice Samba, but could never win it back and having played just four games, allied with his lack of involvement, City made the decision to end his loan spell early.
But Muric's chances of making the grade at the Etihad look to have taken a further setback with the imminent arrival of Zack Steffen who is being earmarked as back-up for Ederson.
However he may now be given a lifeline by Rovers who are in need of a first-choice goalkeeper after Christian Walton returned to Brighton following a loan spell at Ewood Park.
Leicester goalkeeper Daniel Iversen has also been mentioned as a possible target but both players would cost significantly to sign them on loan.
