Midfielder Luke Freeman says he hasn’t yet thought about his future beyond the end of the season - with his focus very much on finding form for Nottingham Forest.
The 28-year-old is on loan at the City Ground from Sheffield United, with the Reds holding an option to make his move permanent in the summer.
It has been something of a stop-start campaign for Freeman, however, and one hampered by injury.
He is just delighted to be back playing regularly and feels he is beginning to show what he can do.
“I’m not too sure,” Freeman said, when asked about his future once his loan ends.
Key dates
Nottingham Forest have been given a date for when the 2021/22 Championship campaign will start.
The Reds still have 11 games of the current season left to go, with Chris Hughton’s side looking to keep themselves away from danger.
The Forest manager has admitted planning is already underway for the summer transfer window as he aims to really put his mark on the squad for the first time.
And now the club have a date to work towards for when the new term will get underway.
Fans' verdict
It can't quite be as busy as last summer at Nottingham Forest, can it?
What turned out to be Sabri Lamouchi's final few months at the City Ground were packed with unveiling new signings - but he had gone by early October and Chris Hughton took up the task of making sure Forest stayed in the Championship.
Hughton has brought his own men too, including the January loan signings of Filip Krovinovic and James Garner, and he is expected to carry on reshaping the squad this summer.
As Forest fans perused a list of more than 150 free agents who might be in his little black book, they gave their own verdict about what was needed most.
Worrall's verdict
Joe Worrall has set his sights on landing the Nottingham Forest captaincy on a permanent basis - and wants more players to become leaders at the City Ground.
The centre-back has been in terrific form in recent weeks having skippered the side in the absence of striker Lewis Grabban who is currently sidelined through a hamstring injury.
The 24-year-old says he has enjoyed the responsibilities that comes attached with the armband which has inspired an excellent defensive partnership with Tobias Figueiredo as Chris Hughton's side moved away from the relegation zone.
And he says he would like the opportunity to be given the captaincy full-time.
