Nottingham Forest fans told to 'keep an eye out' for teenage striker

Gary Brazil has tipped Nottingham Forest youngster Dale Taylor for an exciting future following his call-up to the Northern Ireland senior squad.

The 17-year-old will be part of Ian Baraclough’s squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Lithuania on November 12 and European champions Italy on November 15.

With Northern Ireland already out of contention in their group, former Notts County midfielder Baraclough is using games as a chance to check out some of the country’s young talent.

And Taylor has emerged as one of the brightest, impressing at age group level for both club and country.

After arriving from Linfield 18 months ago, Taylor played for the under-18 before graduating to Andy Reid’s under-23 side.

Brazil, Forest’s director of football development, is thrilled to see Taylor receive his first senior call-up.

He tweeted: “A wonderful reward for Dale, who has worked tirelessly in our environment since joining from Linfield FC eighteen months ago. Exciting future ahead for a young man @NFFC fans need to keep an eye out for.”
