Nottingham Forest fans' team selection message to Sabri Lamouchi for vital Stoke clash

Nottingham Forest fans have called on manager Sabri Lamouchi to field the strongest side possible for Wednesday’s clash with Stoke.

After their failure to take anything from their trip to Barnsley on Sunday, Forest now need a result in the final regular-season match of the campaign to confirm their place in the play-offs.

A draw seals a top-six spot, while a win would guarantee fifth, which would give Forest an extra day to prepare for the play-off semi-final first leg. Sixth hosts third on Sunday, while fifth plays fourth on Monday.

A loss to Stoke could open the door for Cardiff and Swansea to overtake, although the latter need a five-goal swing to jump above Forest.

While Forest would ideally have secured their place by now, allowing them to rest players, they do not have that luxury, and supporters want Lamouchi to play a strong, forward-thinking side.

We asked fans who should start on Wednesday, and they said:

Mike Sinden: “The strongest team we have, all-out attack.”

Phil Smithurst: “The best attacking team we can put out and go at them from the start.”

Ian Allsop: “We’ve got to play the first Xl and get the job done when they should all be resting now.”

Imran Rashid: “Definitely should give Bostock a start. He is a quality player.”

Mark Bolton: “Anyone with any fight and determination in them.”

Bela Balogh: “Give a chance to Bostock and Carvalho in the starting eleven.”

Tom Faulkner: “Play those who are fit and play them in their best roles. Can't risk anybody at this stage.”

Bill Obermeyer: “Play the whole youth team and start again. Mold another team and hope they will not become yellow-bellies like the team on Sunday.”

Liam Hancox: “Grabban needs a rest. No coincidence goals are drying up. Sit him on the bench and play Costa/Walker or Johnson up front.”

Ken Donaldson: “Include everyone that was on the bench and hope they show some interest.”
