Nottingham Forest fans show incredible support for those struggling at Christmas

It might have been a miserable afternoon on the pitch but Nottingham Forest fans showed they are not lacking in Christmas spirit on Saturday.

The Reds were at the City Ground with all four goals coming in the first as supporters flooded out at the break.

However, those who watched the game donated a total of 20 crates of food in support of those struggling in the festive season.

The crates will be donated to Hope Nottingham, a Christian charity based in Beeston which works with local churches and community groups across the city.

On top of that, Forest and Wednesday fans based in New York clubbed together to donate $300 to the charity this weekend as they met up to watch the game together.
