Nottingham Forest fans review this summer's transfer window - and they didn't hold back

The transfer window has closed and Nottingham Forest's summer business is now done and dusted.

Sabri Lamouchi's side got most of their deals finalised early, signing Sammy Ameobi, Albert Adomah, Arijanet Muric, Tiago Silva, Yuri Ribeiro, Alfa Semedo and Rafa Mir during the months of June and July.

But in the final weeks of the window the pressure began to pile on the Reds and their recruitment team with the squad looking incredible light in the forward areas after shipping Tyler Walker off on a season-long loan deal with Lincoln City.

They also struggled to shake the squad's dead wood with a number of players already told by Lamouchi that they no longer featured in his long term plans still remaining on the club's books.

So how did Reds fans rate the transfer window?

Will Forest's depth carry the club through a grueling Championship season or have they dropped the ball by not landing a striker to support Lewis Grabban?

Christopher Hibbert: It seems like a squad of 50 with eight keepers, 20 defenders, 20 midfielders and 2 strikers! We could’ve done with done extra forward, surely?

Jake Towlson: Why does everyone keep saying we need a striker when we’ve got one of the top strikers from last season?

Phil Sutton: We have a very unbalanced squad now, with way too many players. If Grabban gets injured we only have one striker. Instead of signing quantity we should have gone for 3-4 quality players to improve the squad, but time will tell.

Rob Haynes: I'll wait until I have seen them play before I make any judgements but I fear we have gone for quantity over quality again.

Jamie Allan: If we'd have signed just another striker, or two, it would have been good.

Stuart Palmer: Ridiculous. We have no strikers and five goalkeepers!

Paul Bowers: Some of our fans are so negative. Let's have a season with a decent defence for once. It's no good scoring two and letting three in. Our defence over the last few seasons has been bad.
