Nottingham Forest fans reveal what they miss most about football amid coronavirus break

Nottingham Forest fans are missing football, badly.

The sport will not return until, at the earliest, April 30 but many expect the wait to stretch far longer than that as the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation is closely monitored by the government, the EFL and the Premier League.

The season will, eventually, be finished with the FA last week confirming that the league season has been extended "indefinitely" and the 2020-21 campaign will not start until the current one has seen all it's fixtures played - so the hard work of Sabri Lamouchi and his players will not go without reward.

That comes despite calls from Karren Brady and Richard Keys to see the league season stopped immediately.

But what have Reds fans missed most about supporting Nottingham Forest? Here is what they have been saying.

Sean O'Farrell: Turning up.. with genuine hope.. sitting pretty in the play offs.. thinking we'll put this bang average team to the sword, who sit on the bottom half of the table.. Then realising within five mins of kick off, that we'll struggle to score against these, never mind win, then after their 3rd goal goes in, leaving in disgust, absolutely baffled by how poor we are at home.. oh how i miss those days.

Gill Gamston: Just being there!

Graeme Wrathall: Match day is not just the match it’s a social event meeting with mates and a few beers pre-match good old chat about what players we all would pick and after the game post match beers and summary of the match all given our own verdict.

Lee Carrington: The disappointment.

Clare Hartshorn: Catching up with the friends you have made through watching the reds as a season ticket holder and sitting in the same seats for 3 years.

Ian Clarke: Everything.

Jim Marshall: Missing my connection train home and explaining this to the wife?
