Nottingham Forest fans have mixed feelings over Ben Osborn transfer development

Nottingham Forest are reluctantly ready to , if they can get the right price.

Newly-promoted Sheffield United have already made a bid of £3m for the 24-year-old, but that was swiftly rejected by the Reds.

NottinghamshireLive understands that Osborn has not pressured the club to allow him to move - and that he has remained professional in his approach while out in Athens.

However, the lure of Premier League football next season could prove to be too good an opportunity to turn down for the Nigel Doughty Academy graduate.

Forest fans have been reacting to the news that Osborn could leave the club this summer, here is a selection of what they have had to say.

Hannah Forest: "I can't believe Osborn has landed a gig in the Premier League. It's almost as surprising as Henderson somehow ending up at Crystal Palace.”

Honest Mary: “Ben Osborn isn’t good enough for top Championship never mind Premier League. He won’t play every game for Sheffield United. He’ll be back in Championship come January 2020. He runs a lot though and scored a goal against Derby. Great business for #nffc if he goes. Fingers crossed.”

George Richards: "Don't sell him!"

Anthony Nix: "If he wants to go and won't sign a contract, then it's simple mathematics take some money for him or let him go for free next year?"

James Tinsley: "Not happy. Why are we getting rid one of our own, stupid? Really?"

Gaz Brown: “Osborn will be back in the Championship in January... nowhere near good enough for the Prem. Save this tweet for January.”

Coxy: “Anything less than 20 million and I wouldn't be listening to offers.”
