Nottingham Forest fans go wild after ‘masterclass’ at Fulham makes dream a reality

Nottingham Forest fans have given their reaction to the performance and result against already promoted Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Steve Cooper’s men went into the game knowing that they could secure a place in the Championship play-offs and even take a big step towards automatic promotion with a win. It was something that proved to be the case as at least a play-off spot was sealed.

Philip Zinckernagel’s first-half goal was the difference between the two sides as Forest crashed Fulham’s promotion party. Bettering Bournemouth’s result would have meant that Fulham would have been crowned as Champions. They will now have a longer wait.

Forest’s eyes were also on the 3-3 draw between Swansea and Bournemouth, with the results meaning that automatic promotion is in Forest’s hands. The Reds take on the Cherries at the Vitality Stadium next week in what will be a crunch clash.

Following the win over Fulham, Forest fans took to social media to give their immediate reaction. Here’s just some of what they had to say.

Helliwell : So so proud of the lads #NFFC

The East Anglian Tricky Tree: Wow wow wow, what a club, what a season so far, I’m dreaming!

Gordon Rowland : What a team of warriors we have, we had to dig in and fight, block etc, couldn’t be more proud of my team #NFFC #COYR
