Forest fans could return

Nottingham Forest fans could return to the City Ground next month after Boris Johnson announced plans to allow a reduced capacity of fans following the latest lockdown.

The national restrictions last until December 2nd when the country will again return to a three-tier system of restrictions.

The Prime minister has confirmed that up to 4,000 spectators will be allowed back into stadiums in Tier 1 areas, while 2,000 will be allowed in Tier 2 areas.

But fans will have to stay away should the area be in Tier 3.

Positive injury update

Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton has delivered a positive injury update on a trio of players ahead of the trip to Bournemouth on Tuesday.

Tyler Blackett, Joe Worrall and Lewis Grabban will all still miss the midweek encounter but are closing in on a return to training.

“Tyler Blackett and Joe Worrall, we are hoping they will train at the end of the week or the beginning of next week, as will Lewis Grabban," said Hughton.

Bournemouth Coronavirus plans

Bournemouth boss Jason Tindall has explained his decision to leave Adam Smith and Philip Billing out of the squad in their last outing against Reading.

The duo had been in contact with Cherries’ striker Josh King, who tested positive for the virus while on international duty with Norway.

Whie King will be unavailable for the visit of Forest, Tindall has said that Smith and Billing could return to the squad.

Hughton to utilise squad.

Forest manager Chris Hughton has admitted that he may make use of his big squad amid the busy fixture schedule ahead of him.

The Reds are in action eight times in the next 26 days, starting with a trip to the South Coast to take on high-flying Bournemouth on Tuesday night.

"With the volume of games that we have, all our team selections will get to the point where we do have to use the squad; where you do have to think of the type of game that it is,” said Hughton.
