Nottingham Forest fans give their verdict on key man's transfer value amid Arsenal 'interest'

Nottingham Forest fans have been voting on how much they think defender Joe Worrall is worth.

The 22-year-old has been linked with , with a view to a potential move during the January transfer window.

It is also being claimed that the Gunners will have scouts in attendance for Forest ’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Queens Park Rangers tonight in order to watch Worrall in action.

Former Reds striker has given Worrall some advice, following the link with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

“If I could give them one piece of advice it would be to ignore any rumours about their future and just get their heads down,” said Birtles.

“That's what has brought them so much success this season so they should carry on just as they have been.

“If you start getting above yourself then that's where you come undone.

“Neither player strikes me as someone who will lose their way.

“Worrall know what it is like to be at a low ebb. It's not too long ago that he could not get in the Forest team and he was shipped out on loan the Rangers.

“That is an experience that will have served him really well. Playing at a massive club like Rangers can only toughen you up.

“He strikes me as a leader in the dressing room despite being 22 and we know how much he loves the club as a boyhood Forest fan.”

We asked Reds fans let us know how much they think Worrall is worth to the club, and they have responded.

In a poll which has had more than 1,000 votes, 50% of people think that the Reds centre-back is worth more than £20m.

A further 39% of voters reckon that Worrall should be valued between £10m and £20m.

The remaining voters either feel Worrall is worth £5m-£10m (7%), £1m-£5m (2%) or less than £1m (2%).

Worrall has been in fine form for Sabri Lamouchi’s Reds this season, featuring in all 16 of their league fixtures so far.

The Nigel Doughty Academy graduate also captained the Reds for their Carabao Cup ties against Fleetwood Town and Derby County, but he did not feature in the third round clash against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium in September.
