Nottingham Forest fans express transfer frustrations after striker injury update

Nottingham Forest fans have been reacting to the latest injury news from manager Sabri Lamouchi ahead of Saturday’s clash against West Bromwich Albion.

The Reds travel to The Hawthorns to face the Sky Bet Championship leaders, with both clubs seeking all three points for their promotion ambitions.

Striker Lewis Grabban faces a “big test” to prove his fitness for the match, after a knee injury kept him out of Tuesday night’s defeat to Charlton Athletic.

Samba Sow and Sammy Ameobi were also ruled out because of knocks, but are winning the battle to be fit for the trip to The Hawthorns.

Forest fans, upon hearing the update from Lamouchi, took to social media to express their thoughts and emotions.

Here is a selection of what they had to say.

JB: “I wouldn't risk Grabban. IMO West Brom is not a must win game, and I'd rather we get our players rested and ready for the last 10 games of the season..”

John Haddow: “If Grabban is not 100 percent fit put on bench and give young Alex Mighten a chance up front I know it’s a big game but he played well against Chelsea,”

Tom Faulkner: “Still not got anybody with the experience or ability of Grabban to come into the team.”

Martyn Doughty: “Hope he gonna be ok for sat. We need to turn um over sat.”

Ash Redfern: “Is Grabban's injury to his knee? If so probably best to continue to let him recover. Still plenty of games he'll be vital in. West Brom is a free hit at gaining points. Nobody looks spectacular. Couldn't pick who is going up with any conviction other than perhaps WBA.”

Dave: “If Grabban isn't fit (sadly probable) then is this the time for Nuno to get his 1st start? Or will we see Walker start again, linking up with Lolley on the counter as he did against Leeds?”

Henrik NFFC Johansen: “So Grabban injured, good thing we added a proven quality striker in January... Oops, we didn’t!”

Rob: “That’s football we’ve got away with it do far just got to crack on.”
