Nottingham Forest fans deliver their transfer verdict on West Brom flop links

Nottingham Forest fans have been having their say on the latest transfer rumour surrounding their club.

The Reds have been linked with a summer move for former West Bromwich Albion striker Brown Ideye.

According to report in Greece, Ideye is eager to return to English football once his contract with Aris expires this summer - and is "in the running for Forest".

The 31-year-old, who spent two seasons with Evangelos Marinakis' Olympiacos, is currently playing for Greek club Aris.

After the rumour surfaced, Forest fans took to social media to express their thoughts and emotions on a potential deal.

Here is a selection of what they had to say.

Mark Dermody67: “Scoring 1 goal in 6 matches is hardly the mark of a striker, or even a half decent one.1 in 2 or 1 in 3 at worst is a striker. 1 in 6 is more like low average midfielder.”

TC2424: “No thank you.”

Grant Fellows: “Think he'd be free, not sure that he'd be value for money but you never know till they play a few games..”

Michael Nightingale-Cooke: “Everyone said the same about Joe Lolley before he joined..... the rest is history.”

CliftonRed1: “Well we don't want him either. We've already had our quota of flops already.”

Andrew Chard: “Not sure what to think about that. Has a decent record since West Brom. But wasn't at his best in English football.”

Steve ‘Woody’ Allen: “Like Ameobi though not really a gamble if he’s free.”
