Nottingham Forest fans all make same point as they blast fixture change

Nottingham Forest fans have been quick to respond to news that next month’s trip to face Bournemouth has been rearranged.

The Reds were due to face the Cherries at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, February 19, but that fixture has now been brought forward to be shown live on Sky Sports.

It will now take place on Friday, February 18, with a 7.45pm kick-off, either making it tricky for many supporters to attend or meaning a very late return back to Nottingham.

The update didn’t go down well on social media, with plenty of people making their thoughts clear...

@Hawks8920: Imagine if your self employed and now have to take a day off work to get there, then take into account ticket, travel, food, hotel, drinks...your looking at couple of hundred quid for one game....so wrong!

@jackhallsy: 350 mile round trip on a Friday night, how is any working person supposed to attend that @SkySports #nffc

@Callum_shaw: Bournemouth moved to a 7:45 kick off - my head's fell off. Any consideration for travelling fans? @SkyFootball ?? #nffc

@JordanHooley3: Cheers for that Sky.

@SelveyDan: Zero consideration for fans again!! Have a word @GNev2

@PsychoactiveF: How’s any working person gonna get to that?

@CNL_NFFC: That's me going out the window.

@peakychIoe: ahhhh, Sky putting fans first as always.

@seanreid86: No consideration for away fans.

@BrummieTricky: Any game over 50 miles shouldn’t be allowed to be rescheduled for tv. Fans should come first.

@Cee_GK5: 350 mile round trip on a Friday....a 4PM finish at work Cheers @SkySports Now it's a day off and a weekend in Bournemouth.

@OliverSmith92: Assuming most people finish work at 5pm on a Friday, it's anywhere between 3.5hrs and 4hrs to Bournemouth not taking into account Friday traffic, meaning at the earliest fans would get there in the second half. Hang your heads in shame @SkyFootball.

Bournemouth are currently top of the Championship table, with Steve Cooper's Forest in ninth spot, six points below the play-off places.
