Nottingham Forest fan to open kebab restaurant and takeaway near City Ground

Julian Koraqe hails from the lush green Greek island of Mytilini but he's a Red through and through. Now the dedicated Nottingham Forest fan will be opening a kebab restaurant and takeaway a stone's throw from the City Ground.

Traditional Greek street food such as pita gyros and souvlaki will be sold by the chef, who has been a Forest fan since moving to Notts 15 years ago.

Eva's grill will be opening in the former Crumbs sandwich bar in Radcliffe Road in West Bridgford, around the corner from Forest's home. There's no firm launch date but it's likely to be at the end of May - just missing out on the final games of the season.

As well as a takeaway, there will be space for 25 to 30 customers to eat in the licensed restaurant.

Work to revamp the property is currently underway.

"We'll be open during match days for football and cricket until midnight," said Mr Koraqe, who has worked as a chef at city centre restaurants including Zizzi, Bella Italia and the former Hard Rock Cafe.
