Nottingham Forest facing nervy wait in deal to sign West Brom's Kamil Grosicki

Nottingham Forest face an anxious wait to see if their deal for West Brom winger Kamil Grosicki will be given the go-ahead.

The Reds had hoped to follow the arrival of Anthony Knockaert from Fulham with the arrival of the Polish wideman.

Both clubs had agreed on the deal, but according to reports surfacing on social media this evening, there is anxiety brewing as to whether the paperwork was filed on time.

Birmingham Live journalist Joe Edwards said: "Not expecting any announcements this evening re Grosicki.

"There's uncertainty as to whether the relevant paperwork was submitted on time. Think we'll find out tomorrow, one way or the other."

Forest have long been admirers of Grosicki after Albion pipped Forest to Grosicki’s signature in January when he signed from Hull City.

But after helping the Baggies secure promotion to the Premier League, he has fallen out of favour under Slaven Bilic.

The 32-year-old has figured just once for Bilic’s side this season, in the Carabao Cup victory over Harrogate Town, and was replaced 10 minutes into the second half in that game.

He has played twice for his country though, scoring in the 2-1 Nations League victory over Bosnia.
