Nottingham Forest eye Mbaye Diagne, Jon McLaughlin back on Blackburn’s radar - latest Championship rumours

The Championship campaign is currently on hold for the foreseeable future due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The pandemic has brought the country to a standstill, with top-flight football now suspended until April 30, at the earliest.

And with no on-field action now able to take centre stage, it is most likely that transfer talk will dominate the headlines in the coming weeks and months.

With that in mind, here is a round-up of the latest transfer rumours from across the Championship.

Forest eye Mbaye Diagne

Nottingham Forest are now 'ready to move' to sign transfer target Mbaye Diagne, according to reports from Turkey, via Nottingham Live.

The Galatasaray striker is currently on loan in Belgium with Club Brugge but, hasn’t played a first-team game since November after falling out with his manager.

The reports claim that the Reds are said to be preparing a way out for him this summer with the 28-year-old currently being valued in the region of 6-8m euros.

McLaughlin back on Blackburn’s radar

Blackburn Rovers could again turn their attention to Sunderland goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin this summer.

Rovers’ current number one, Christian Walton, is due to return to his parent club Brighton in the summer, leaving Tony Mowbray with the prospect of having to find a new stopper.

And according to Lancashire Live, Rovers, who kept tabs on McLaughlin during the January window, could once again make a move this summer.

Championship pair set to target Alfie Kilgour

Millwall and Queens Park Rangers are interested in signing Bristol Rovers defender Alfie Kilgour this summer.

The 21-year-old has become a pivotal player for Ben Garner’s side, scoring three times in 43 appearances this season.

And according to Bristol Live, Premier League sides Southampton and Bournemouth have sent scouts to watch the Gas academy graduate in action, while Millwall and Queens Park Rangers have also been keeping tabs on the centre-half.
