Nottingham Forest defender set to depart for La Liga outfit - report

Nottingham Forest defender Chema Rodriguez is about to return to Spain.

That's according to Spanish outlet Cadena Ser, who say Chema is on the verge of a move to La Liga club Getafe.

The 27-year-old only arrived at the City Ground in the summer from Levante, joining on a two-year deal for a fee believed to be in the region of £500,000.

But the Reds could be about to make a quick profit, the report claiming Getafe are about to complete the signing for €1.5m.

Though, Levante won't feel too hard done by having allowed Chema to leave on the cheap, making an extra €200,000 on the deal due to the 20% sell-on fee they hold on Rodriguez.

The Spaniard has only made 10 appearances across all competitions for Forest this season, starting seven in the league.

Chema is expected to sign a deal with Getafe until 2023, linking up with the Madrid-based side who are currently fourth in the La Liga table.
