Nottingham Forest defender hailed as striker reveals Premier League ambition

Scott Mckenna hailed

Nottingham Forest Centre-back Scott Mckenna has been hailed by the club’s first-team coach Steven Reid.

Reid is also part of the coaching set-up with the Scotland national team, with the pair joining up with Steve Clarke’s team during the international break.

Mckenna scored his first goal in a Forest shirt in the win against Nottingham Forest last week, and has been praised by the coach.

"He’s been fantastic for the last few games for us at Nottingham Forest. I’m almost sick of seeing him now!” he said.

“He’s been great since he got that big move in the summer and hopefully he continues that for us.”

The pair spent just two months working together at Sunderland before the manager was replaced with Paulo Di Canio at the Stadium of Light.

"I met him a few times before the move went through. I loved the way he spoke.”

Taylor reveals Premier League ambition

Nottingham Forest striker Lyle Taylor has spoken of his dream to play in the Premier League.

The former Charlton man moved to the City Ground on a free transfer in the Summer, scoring four goals to quickly establish himself as a fan favourite at the club.

He scored in wins against Coventry City and Wycombe Wanderers as well as the draw vs East Midlands rivals Derby County.

"I'm honoured to play for this club. I wanted to be given this chance but I think there's more. Why can't we?” he said.

"I want to play at the highest level I can possibly play at. If this is it then so be it. Not a problem to me, but I'll give my everything whenever I pull on the shirt.

"I'd love to play in the Premier League and score a goal. Every kid dreams of that.
