Nottingham Forest have been dealt a transfer blow with Swansea City set to sign Chelsea youngster Marc Guehi.
The BBC report that Steve Cooper's side are in pole position to land the 19-year-old defender on loan for the rest of the season.
Forest , as well as Championship rivals Bristol City and Premier League duo Norwich City and Southampton, were credited with an interest in the England Under-21 international last month.
The centre-back now looks set to link up once again with Swans boss Steve Cooper , who coached him at England Under-17 with the pair winning a World Cup together three years ago.
Swansea are in sixth place in the Championship, two points behind Forst in fourth.
Guehi has two first-team appearances to his name for Frank Lampard's Blues, both coming in the Carabao Cup this season.
