Nottingham Forest appear to face further competition if they want to sign winger Christian Atsu from Newcastle United.
The Reds have been linked with a deadline day move for the Magpies forward, with West Bromwich Albion also being credited with an interest.
Now a report in the Daily Mail claims that more clubs have entered the race to sign the Ghana international before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
The report states that Championship duo Blackburn Rovers and Fulham are showing an interest in the 28-year-old.
It is also being claimed that Greek club Olympiacos are keeping tabs on Atsu, as they look to sign a replacement for Daniel Podence who left the club to sign for Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Atsu has made 18 appearances in the Premier League for Newcastle this season, but is yet to find the back of the net.
Forest have already added three new players to their squad during this month’s window – Adama Diakhaby on loan from Huddersfield Town, Nuno da Costa on a permanent deal from Strasbourg and Gaetan Bong from Brighton.
The Reds have also completed the signing of Julian Larsson from Swedish club AIK, and the youngster will now link up with Chris Cohen’s Under-23 side.
