Nottingham Forest could face competition from Championship rivals in transfer race for PSG defender

Nottingham Forest could face competition from two of their Championship rivals in the race for PSG defender Loic Mbe Soh.

Sabri Lamouchi's side are said to be keen on landing the young centre-back this summer with the club reported to have made contact with their French counterparts this week.

The report, penned by La Parisien, mentions only Forest when listing teams in the race to sign the 19-year-old - but there could be interest from Norwich City and Middlesbrough, as well as interest from across Europe, in his signature.

Norwich and Boro were both said to have made an approach for Mbe Soh last month but with contract talks at the time still reported to be ongoing with PSG their interest fade away.

La Liga side Cadiz, as well as relegated club RCD Mallorca and French side Bordeaux, were also said to be keen.

But now those contract talks have collapsed, claim La Parisien, and thus their interest could now resume.

Clubs still have one month to get deals done before the transfer window slams shut.

Forest have made nine signings this summer but still have work to do before the campaign begins.

They will also be fighting to keep hold of the likes of Joe Worral with Premier League Burnley still very much said to be chasing the defender.
