Nottingham Forest could face competition for Brighton striker Glenn Murray from Scottish giants Celtic.
The 36-year-old is understood to be on the Reds’ shortlist of targets as they look to bolster their attacking options during the January transfer window.
But, according to the Daily Mail, the Hoops could enter the frame for the forward’s signature, as they too are keen to strengthen up front.
Murray was missing from the matchday squad in his side’s FA Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend, sparking speculation about his future.
But Seagulls boss Graham Potter explained: “He just had a knock. He picked up a knock in training.
“We had a few that were bumps and bruises and fatigue, and he was just one of those.”
Murray has struggled to secure a regular starting spot with Albion this season, with 10 of his 14 appearances from off the bench.
But Potter has expressed his desire to hang on to the forward, last week dismissing speculation linking him with a move to the City Ground.
“It’s news to me, I’ve not heard anything and Glenn has been great for us,” he said of the rumours.
“At the same time, every player wants to be out on the pitch but I have no problem with him.”
