Nottingham Forest could be forced into this Sabri Lamouchi rethink - reports

Reports in the national press have claimed that Nottingham Forest could be forced into moving forward Sabri Lamouchi contract talks.

The Forest boss’ deal expires in the summer, after signing a one year contract when he made the move to the City Ground last June.

It was believed that the Reds would wait to discover their Championship fate, before sorting a new deal, with his side firmly in the race for a play-off berth.

However, reports in the Sun now claim that time line could move forward to reduce the risk of losing the Frenchman when the season ends.

Speaking before the season was suspended, Lamouchi insisted that sorting out his future wasn’t a priority.

“It is not my decision,” the 48-year-old said.

“I am happy here. From the beginning I was so surprised by the warm welcome from the fans. And every day, every week, every month, I am feeling at home here.

“My desire is to stay here for a long time. I can’t say more than that.

“I have this responsibility, but for me to focus on the right things is very important.

“If I think only about my contract, it is a big mistake. My contract is not so important, myself, I am not so important.”
