Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Barcelona midfielder Marcus McGuane on a permanent contract.
The Reds have been working on a move for the youngster for some time, with a switch proving to be a complicated one due to the player having been on loan at Dutch side Telstar.
But he has finally put pen to paper and agreed a deal at the City Ground until 2022.
Travelling well
Nottingham Forest are travelling up and down the country without any fear factor, according to winger Sammy Ameobi.
And it is playing an important part in their promotion push as they continue to pick up impressive results on the road.
The Reds clinched a 1-0 victory at Cardiff City on Tuesday night- their eighth away win of the campaign, while they have lost just three times on their travels.
It moved them up to third in the table, three points behind Leeds United, who head to Middlesbrough - Forest’s opponents on Monday - this evening.
Penalty claim?
Nottingham Forest were handed a spot of good fortune on Tuesday night as Cardiff City were denied what they felt was a clear penalty.
Jacob Murphy went to ground after a challenge from right-back Matty Cash and big appeals followed from those in Blue.
Although Cash seemingly poked the ball away, similar incidents have seen penalties awarded in the past both against and for Forest.
Some Reds fans felt the number eleven was fortunate to escape the wrath of the referee - but now the right-back himself has taken to Twitter to clear the air on the incident once and for all, confirming with video footage that he DID get a toe on the ball.
Selection dilemma
Eight months into the job, Sabri Lamouchi has a clear first-choice Nottingham Forest XI.
When everyone is fully fit, the team almost picks itself at the moment - not least because most of those in possession of the shirts are playing out of their skins; others are struggling to get a look-in.
But with one key player currently struggling with injury, it means the head coach may well have something of a selection dilemma come next Monday's trip to Middlesbrough.
