Nottingham Forest comeback forces Barnsley boss to address fan anger

Nottingham Forest piled more misery on Barnsley at Oakwell - extending the home side's winless run to eight matches.

Barnsley may have taken the lead with a penalty in the 20th minute but Forest came roaring back after captain Lewis Grabban was introduced on the hour mark.

Head coach Steve Cooper switched to 4-2-3-1 with immediate effect as the visitors scored twice in the space of seven minutes.

Grabban played a part in Philip Zinckernagel's equaliser after 61 minutes before Brennan Johnson put the Reds in front.

The 33-year-old skipper then sealed the result with a late third as Barnsley fans were left distraught.

Tykes head coach Markus Schopp highlighted the recent criticism of fans, admitting he has no argument.

"The fans are coming to the games and want to see passion and three points from the home side and I can totally understand this," he told Yorkshire Post.

"We have to give them all the (right) stuff and it does not matter what is going on.

"This is about us and we have to find better solutions. And we will find solutions. They have to step up and take more responsibility.

"Right now, this is a tough one for all of us, but my experience says that in this situation things can happen in a positive way and we have to handle the situation as a group and not as individuals."

Schopp added: "We know it is a tough situation, but I know the guys want to find a way out.

"The first two goals were really big punches for the guys and the reaction was not good after that."
