Nottingham Forest are reportedly close to agreeing a deal to sign David Tavares from Benfica.
The midfielder has been extensively linked with a move to the City Ground along with his team-mate Jota.
A move for the latter is not in the offing but according to Portuguese newspaper Record, Tavares is set to agree a move to Forest within days.
Tavares doesn't appear to be in Benfica boss Jorge Jesus' plans this season and appears to be on the way out of the Estadio da Luz.
The 21 year-old attacker would follow in the footsteps of Yuri Ribeiro and Joao Carvalho in swapping Benfica for Forest.
Alfa Semedo also made the move to Trentside from Benfica on a season-long loan deal last season.
Tavares, who has been with Benfica since 2016, has made 19 appearances for the club's reserves and two for the first team.
Last season, he recorded 11 outings in the Portuguese second tier and came off the substitute's bench in a Champions League defeat to eventual semi-finalists RB Leipzig in a group stage match in September.

Forest have been very active in the transfer market this summer as Sabri Lamouchi looks to strengthen his squad following the brush with the play-offs last season.
Jack Colback, Tyler Blackett, Lyle Taylor and Fouad Bachirou - the latter sealing a move last night - have all signed on with the Reds ahead of the new season.
Tavares looks set to become the fifth.
