Nottingham Forest 'braced for bids' as more Premier League clubs linked with Joe Worrall

Two more Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall.

And the Reds are said to be “braced for more bids”, after they are understood to have turned down more than one offer in the summer.

Arsenal and Newcastle United were both linked with Worrall towards the end of 2019, while Sheffield United were last week said to be eyeing him up.

And now the Daily Mirror claim West Ham United and Norwich City are keen on the centre-back.

They say: “Nottingham Forest are braced for more bids for in-demand centre-back Joe Worrall.

“Forest want to tie down Worrall on new terms but Premier League trio Sheffield United, West Ham and Norwich are all interested in the defender.”

Having spent last season on loan at Scottish giants Rangers, Worrall has been a regular at the City Ground under Sabri Lamouchi this term.

Hull City and Wigan Athletic were both believed to have shown an interest in the 22-year-old in the summer, though it is unclear whether either club were involved in making an offer.

But back in November, Worrall made clear his love for the team he supported as a boy.

“Of course there’s always speculation. You see it all the time on Twitter,” said the Nigel Doughty Academy product.

“But at the end of the day I’m playing for Forest - the team I love. I love wearing the red shirt.

“It’s something that I’m focused on for the next game.”
