Nottingham Forest boss urges players to believe as he thanks fans for 'amazing' support

Manager's warning

Head coach Sabri Lamouchi hopes belief is starting to grow in the Nottingham Forest dressing room.

But he has warned his players “more confidence can be dangerous” as they go in search of back-to-back City Ground wins tomorrow.

Victory over Leeds United on Saturday moved the Reds to within one point of their second-placed opponents with 15 games to go.

A home game with Charlton Athletic is next up, and Lamouchi knows they must quickly regain their focus.

Amazing support

Sabri Lamouchi has thanked Nottingham Forest fans for their show of support towards him in an “amazing” atmosphere at the City Ground.

Flags, banners and scarves were all out in force around the stadium for last weekend’s clash against Leeds United, in a display coordinated by supporters’ group Forza Garibaldi.

As well as a banner with Lamouchi’s portrait on, there was also one with the words, ‘Until Sabri I Was Never Happy’.

The Frenchman says he has been touched by the welcome he has received since joining the club in June.

Tyler's mission

Striker Tyler Walker says he never doubted he would get another chance at Nottingham Forest - and now he’s back in the fold, he’s determined to make the most of it.

The 23-year-old has had a number of different loan spells since coming up through the Nigel Doughty Academy.

Most recently, he spent last term at Mansfield Town and was due to spend this season at Lincoln City before that came to an early end last month.

Walker made his first Reds appearance since January 2018 when he came off the bench at Birmingham City. He had not scored for the club since that previous December, but found the back of the net this weekend to seal a crucial 2-0 win over Leeds United.

Injury boost

Charlton Athletic boss Lee Bowyer has confirmed that two of his star forwards will return for Tuesday night's clash with Nottingham Forest.

Bowyer's side were beaten 3-1 by relegation rivals Stoke City on Saturday with a number of their first-team stars out of action.

93-cap Republic of Ireland international Aiden McGeady, missing through illness at the weekend, is expected to make his Charlton debut while Macauley Bonne, linked with Forest in the summer, will make the matchday squad for the first time since picking up a hamstring injury in December.
