Nottingham Forest boss speaks out on Bristol City and Leeds United targets

Sabri Lamouchi admits it is a tough transfer window to sign a striker.

Lamouchi's Nottingham Forest side are one of a number of Championship clubs looking to strengthen their attack, including Bristol City and Leeds United.

Forest and the Robins have consistently been linked to the same players, with both sides keen on Crystal Palace striker Connor Wickham.

Leeds and Forest are also said to be interested in Watford's Andre Gray.

With so much competition, Lamouchi admits it is not an easy window.

“It is not only Nottingham Forest looking,” said the Frenchman to Nottinghamshire Live. “Many clubs are looking for a striker and to do a deal.

“But it is not easy to make a deal, so I am waiting, too.

“Of course it has been tough, because for quality players, it is not only us looking.

“There are a lot of clubs looking for strikers, wingers and quality players - on loan, to buy, contracts, club, agents, family, it is not easy.”

On Gray and Wickham, he added: “I can talk only about my players. They are great players, but they are not my players.

“Of course we are looking at a lot of options.”
