Nottingham Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi says he is not yet thinking about the January transfer window, amid speculation the Reds may be tempted to move for Dwight Gayle.
Lamouchi has previously said that he would like to have seen another striker brought in during the summer, with Rafa Mir the only forward added to the ranks.
The 22-year-old was handed his first Championship start on Sunday in the 1-0 defeat to Wigan Athletic, but was substituted early in the second half after missing a couple of good chances.
Lewis Grabban is almost certain to come back into the side for tomorrow’s clash at home to Hull City, having started each of the 11 league games prior to the weekend.
But while the result at the DW Stadium may have highlighted a lack of proven firepower up front beyond Grabban, Lamouchi says it is too soon to have an eye on potential transfers.
“I am just looking at the Hull game. January, for me, is too far,” he said.
“Maybe you can make some speculation for some players - some striker, winger, box-to-box, right or left-back, goalkeeper. But for me, I am just focused on my players and my squad.

“I have so many games. That is so important for me, for us, for the club.
“I am just focused on the game tomorrow.”
According to The Athletic, Forest “will surely look to position themselves at the front of the queue” for Gayle when the window opens.
The Newcastle United forward, who spent last term on loan at West Bromwich Albion, made his first appearance of the campaign on Saturday when he came off the bench against Chelsea.
Lamouchi, though, insists his attention is currently only on the players who are part of his squad as they look to get back to winning ways.
Asked if up front is an area which may need strengthening, he said: “January, for me, is so far away. I am just focused on tomorrow, so there’s no point talking about players who are not in my squad.
“I want to just focus on my players.
“I am happy with them.
“We need to find a solution, and we will find a solution with these players.”
