Nottingham Forest will have to wait a little longer for the return of some of their injured players, as Sabri Lamouchi’s men prepare to face Millwall tomorrow.
Although full-back Carl Jenkinson and midfield enforcer Samba Sow are making good progress, the clash with the Lions will come too soon for the duo.
Jenkinson has been sidelined since August with an ankle injury, while a hamstring problem has kept his fellow summer signing out of action since October.
Head coach Sabri Lamouchi hopes the pair could be available to face Middlesbrough at the City Ground next Tuesday night or the home game with Sheffield Wednesday on the Saturday.
“Carl Jenkinson is much better and Samba Sow is much better, but Millwall is too early,” Lamouchi said.
“They need a few days, but will probably be okay for Middlesbrough or Sheffield Wednesday, for sure.”
There will also be no return for defender Yuri Ribeiro in the capital.
Lamouchi had hoped to have him back from a knee injury for last week’s 4-0 thumping of QPR, but he was ruled out of both that and the weekend’s defeat to Cardiff City.
The Portuguese last featured in the East Midlands derby clash with Derby County at the start of last month.
Asked whether Ribeiro will be in contention for Millwall, Lamouchi said: “Not yet, he will be a few days again, unfortunately.
“Maybe he will be next week, but we will see.”
