Nottingham Forest will check on the fitness of Samba Sow before Sunday’s clash against Wigan Athletic, with Sabri Lamouchi hoping the midfielder has not picked up a serious injury.
Sow was forced off towards the end of the first half of seemingly picking up a knock when he was brought down to earn his team a penalty with little more than 10 minutes gone.
He continued after that, but required treatment on more than one occasion, before being replaced by Sammy Ameobi in the 44th minute.
And the player himself, who has only recently returned from a hamstring problem, said on social media after the game that it was “just a dead leg”.
“I don’t think it is serious,” said Lamouchi. “It was just a kick.
“I don’t know if he will be fit for Sunday of course, we will check that tomorrow.
“But I don’t think it is serious.

“It was just a kick, nothing too bad.
“But he could not continue to play.”
ensured Forest ended a five-match winless streak at the KCOM Stadium.
It lifted them back up to seventh, two points adrift of the top six with a game in hand, ahead of successive home games against the Latics and Blackburn Rovers over the rest of the festive period.
Lamouchi was also able to include full-back Carl Jenkinson on the bench against the Tigers; the former Arsenal man being out since August with an ankle problem.
“I have a good squad, good guys, who are all working hard,” said Lamouchi. “I don’t have any problems making a line-up.
“We just need to have the right spirit and to keep going.”
