Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi on the possibility of further transfer business

Nottingham Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi is hoping for more new arrivals before the transfer window closes next month.

The Reds have added six new faces this summer, with five of those putting pen to paper since Lamouchi took charge.

Sammy Ameobi signed while Martin O’Neill was still at the helm, but Tiago Silva, Alfa Semedo, Yuri Ribeiro, Arijanet Muric and Albert Adomah were recruited after Lamouchi replaced the Northern Irishman.

A promotion push is the aim for Forest for the upcoming campaign, having fallen short of a top six spot last term when they finished ninth.

Lamouchi has had the chance to assess his squad during pre-season training camps in Spain and Greece, being in the dugout for friendlies against Dundee, Atromitos and Olympiacos – while he was watching from the stands for the match at Alfreton Town.

And the former Rennes and Ivory Coast chief hopes the Reds’ transfer business is not yet complete as he looks to put together a squad capable of challenging for the top six in the Championship.

“Of course I would like to see more signings,” he said.

“We need to get into a position where we can achieve our target. The club, the manager, players, staff - everyone.

“The club knows exactly what I ask of them (with signings). We need some players; some players can change the face of the team.”
