Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi makes Tiago Silva admission ahead of facing Bristol City

Nottingham Forest midfielder Tiago Silva has been ruled out of facing Bristol City this weekend.

The Portuguese midfielder has not featured for Forest yet this season, having been sidelined through injury, although he has been involved in training with the club this week ahead of the game against the Robins.

However, Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi has confirmed that Silva will not be involved against City, with the Portuguese player reported to be close to a move to Olympiacos as part of a swap deal that could involve defensive midfielder Cafu.

Lamouchi gave an update on the status of several players ahead of the game at the City Ground, with the Forest boss stating that he was not sure whether there would be movement before the game in terms of transfers.

“I don’t know if any are close to leaving, the club are working on that,” he said.

“Today we finished with all (fit) players available.

“Tiago Silva started the warm-up with us, but he will not be available for this game. He is much better but he is not available.”

Forest will, however, be without Joe Worrall and Fouad Bachirou, who are both sidelined through injury.

Lamouchi's side are yet to pick up a point in the Championship this season, with four defeats from four games in all competitions so far in the 2020/21 campaign.
