Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi had this to say about pitch altercation after Derby County win

Nottingham Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi says he did not see the incident which took place after Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup clash with Derby County.

There was an altercation on the City Ground pitch after the Reds’ 3-0 win over their arch-rivals in the second round tie.

It happened while the Rams’ substitutes, including the likes of Richard Keogh, Tom Lawrence and Max Bird, were warming down and members of the Forest ground staff were tending to the playing surface.

Lamouchi and Derby manager Phillip Cocu were giving post-match interviews to the media pitchside at the time.

“I was just focusing on the questions I was being asked - I was just trying to give the right answers,” the Reds boss said.

“What was happening behind me after the game, it was not important for me.

“I don’t have any information about that.”

on Thursday: “It’s always negative if an incident happens on the pitch, especially after the game.

“At the moment, both clubs are investigating what happened, so I can’t say too much.

“But we are seriously looking into it.

“I have spoken to Richard (Keogh), as well as other members of the club, and it is still ongoing.

“There will be an announcement if something happens.”
