Nottingham Forest boss provides Joe Lolley and Samba Sow update ahead of Derby County clash

Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi says he has a full squad to choose from for his team’s meeting with arch-rivals Derby County.

The Frenchman dismissed any concerns winger Joe Lolley could be in doubt after he required treatment in the first half of Wednesday night’s victory over Bristol City.

Lolley was then substituted at half-time - a change Lamouchi said was tactical - but is in line to face the Rams at Pride Park.

“There is no problem with Joe, at all,” the head coach said. “He is with us tomorrow.

“They are all available.”

That includes midfielder Samba Sow, who made his return to action in midweek when he came off the bench for the final few minutes of the 1-0 result.

The 31-year-old had been sidelined since February with a knee problem - something Lamouchi admits still has to be handled with care.

“Of course we need to manage him because the problem is not absolutely resolved, but he is in a good way,” he said.

“After four months out, he made some training sessions with us and he played the last few minutes of the last game.

“It is positive for Samba and for us, of course.

“At this moment, we will take the right decision. But for now, he is available, he can play, he is ready to play - it was just my choice to start without him.

“But it is important to see Samba again with the squad.

“It was really nice to put him in after a long stop. It was good also for him.

“Now we need to think about the next one - and the next one is tomorrow.

“But after four months out, we need to take it step by step with him because we have a lot of games still to play.

“We need to think about the team and the best line-up, because tomorrow we will face a good team in a good moment.”
