Nottingham Forest boss outlines defender transfer plans as Joao Carvalho debate rumbles on

A loan move could be in the offing for Nottingham Forest defender Loic Mbe Soh next season as he looks to get regular game time under his belt.

The 19-year-old is highly thought of at the City Ground, including by boss Chris Hughton, but has found it tough to get minutes on the pitch following his move from PSG last summer.

Mbe Soh has made seven appearances in the Garibaldi since then - and scored his first goal for the club in a 2-1 defeat at Middlesbrough.

McKenna's goal

Scott McKenna has a simple - although not necessarily easily achievable - goal for his second season at Nottingham Forest.

Summer plans

Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton is under no illusions about the importance of the summer ahead - even before the current season has finished.

Preparation and planning, the manager has said, started almost as soon as he stepped through the door.

There will inevitably be significant changes afoot, both in terms of incomings and outgoings.

Carvalho conundrum

Joao Carvalho seems to have divided the Nottingham Forest fanbase ever since he has been at the club - and nothing has changed while he has been away.

The Reds’ record signing has been spending the season on loan at Almeria, with his long-term future up in the air.

The Spanish second division outfit hold an option to make his move a permanent one in the summer.

But it seems Forest boss Chris Hughton has not completely ruled out giving the midfielder a second chance at the City Ground.
