Chris Hughton says it is on him to make sure Nottingham Forest do not slip up against Rotherham United.
The Reds have won just once this season but will be favourites to add three more points on Tuesday against a team who was promoted from League One last season.
That win for Forest came last time out against Blackburn Rovers, giving supporters some sudden optimism the team will turn the corner, ahead of the big game against Derby County on Friday night.
Forest have a track record of slipping up in the fixture following a win, especially against so called lesser teams - and Hughton says he must keep his players focussed.
"It's my responsibility as a manager. I'm conscious of what this league is and what Rotherham are capable of doing," he told Nottinghamshire Live.
"There's absolutely no easy games. For us to have experience in this division, that's something that's drilled into players.
"We've got players that have played a lot of Championship football. They know.
"There will be a lot of players in our team that might have been the underdog in a game.
"Ultimately it's about making sure you're up for every game. If you're up for every game it gives you a chance of getting something."
Forest will be without defenders Joe Worrall and Tyler Blackett through injury, with Blackett out for a 'period of weeks', according to Hughton. Worrall will be out for around two months with a foot problem.
Fouad Bachirou (hamstring) is set to miss out again and Jack Colback is a doubt after going off after taking a kick in the second half at Blackburn.
It remains to be seen if new signing Anthony Knockaert will feature, but Hughton is delighted to have the Fulham winger on board until January, having worked with the player at Brighton previously.
"I spoke to him before he signed. He's someone I've known for a long period of time," he said.
"We wanted to get Blackburn out the way and then all the contacts will be made.
"I'm really looking forward to him coming in. Most people know what he'll give us with the type of quality he's got.
"He'll add to this group. He'll give us another option.
"With the amount of games we have, he's a really good option. He wants to play and be involved in games, which is a good sign."
