Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton's Kamil Grosicki 'hope' as transfer saga drags on

Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton is hoping there will be a resolution to the Kamil Grosicki transfer saga “as soon as possible”, as the wait for a decision has dragged into a second week.

A deal was agreed for the West Bromwich Albion winger to join the Reds on domestic deadline day, on October 16.

However, a dispute about whether the paperwork was submitted in time has left Grosicki’s move in the balance.

The Poland international posted a cryptic tweet over the weekend, writing “#Tuesday” alongside emojis of a football, a pair of weighing scales and hands praying, amid suggestions an arbitration hearing was due.

Hughton has left a space for him in his 25-man squad submitted to the English Football League, but continues to wait for news about whether Grosicki will be able to fill it.

“As manager, I’m very much hoping it’s going to be soon,” he told NottinghamshireLive, ahead of Wednesday night’s clash at Luton Town.

“I can only pass on the information I’ve been given, and that is that it’s still very much in the hands of the club and the Football League.
