Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton has revealed Keith Stroud admitted he "could not see anything" for Millwall's controversial late goal at the City Ground.
The Reds had looked on course to seal a deserved clean sheet and were 3-0 up with just a minute of normal time remaining when Ben Thompson struck a consolation after Forest failed to defend a corner.
But the goal was mired in controversy as Brice Samba clearly looked to have been fouled in the build-up sparking a mass protest by him and his team-mates but referee Keith Stroud was not interested in their appeals.
Fortunately two goals from Sammy Ameobi and a strike from Ryan Yates had ensured no major damage, but Hughton was frustrated that it had deprived his team of a deserved shut-out.
"It should have been a clean sheet," he said.
"From everything we've seen, it was a foul on the goalkeeper.
"I spoke to the referee and he was honest enough to say that there was a lot of bodies there and he couldn't see anything.
"I mean that's a disappointment, because I think for as much as the three goals that have been important for us, for the feel of the team and certainly the goalkeeper and the back four, that clean sheet is also important."
