Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton names his team to face Wolves

Ethan Horvath makes his second start for Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup, as boss Chris Hughton once again fields a youthful side in the competition.

Just as in the first round tie, when the Reds beat Bradford City, Hughton has rung the changes, with an eye on Saturday’s crunch league clash against Derby County.

The result over Bradford is Forest’s only victory of the season so far, and they go into the second round meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers having lost all four of their Championship matches.

It has piled the pressure on Hughton, who has seen his squad hit by injuries, illness and suspensions in the opening weeks of the campaign.

Horvath takes up the spot between the posts, with Baba Fernandes and Riley Harbottle the centre-back duo, as was the case in the previous round.

Jayden Richardson also keeps his place at left-back from the last cup match, with Fin Back - who made his full league debut at Stoke City on Saturday - on the right.

Manchester United loanee James Garner makes his first appearance since re-signing for the club on Sunday, starting in midfield alongside Tyrese Fornah and Jack Colback.

Oliver Hammond is handed his first senior appearance, supporting Ateef Konate and captain Lewis Grabban in what looks to be a 4-3-3 formation.

The bench is made up of Jordan Smith, Jordan Gabriel, Tobias Figueiredo, Cafu, Joao Carvalho, Alex Mighten and Lyle Taylor.

Forest: Horvath, Back, Fernandes, Harbottle, Richardson, Garner, Fornah, Colback, Hammond, Konate, Grabban. Subs: Smith, Gabriel, Figueiredo, Cafu, Carvalho, Mighten, Taylor.
