Teenager Fin Back makes his full league debut for Nottingham Forest against Stoke City.
With injuries and suspensions limiting his options, Reds boss Chris Hughton makes five changes to the starting XI which lost 2-1 at home to Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night.
Forest will look to arrest a run of three straight Championship defeats when they face the Potters at the bet365 Stadium this afternoon.
It has been a miserable start to the campaign for the Reds, who are without Jordan Gabriel (suspension), Joe Lolley (illness), Jordi Osei-Tutu (hamstring injury), Joe Worrall (calf injury) and Loic Mbe Soh (groin injury).
Back got his first taste of the second tier in midweek when he came off the bench to replace the injured Osei-Tutu.
Gabriel had started that game at right-back, before switching to the left when the defence was rejigged. A late sending off, for a second bookable offence, rules him out against Stoke, with Back coming in as a result.
Gaetan Bong returns from a three-match ban, for an incident at Coventry City, to take the place of Osei-Tutu.
Scott McKenna and Tobias Figueiredo complete the back four, as the only two senior centre-halves available, ahead of goalkeeper Brice Samba.
Hughton also makes a change in midfield, with Cafu coming in for Jack Colback, to play alongside Ryan Yates.
At the top end of the pitch, Joao Carvalho comes in to replace Brennan Johnson, playing alongside Philip Zinckernagel and Alex Mighten.
And there is an alteration up front as Lyle Taylor comes in for Lewis Grabban, who drops to the bench.
In addition to Colback, Johnson and Grabban, Ethan Horvath, Tyrese Fornah, Jayden Richardson and Riley Harbottle make up the substitutes.
Forest: Samba, Back, Figueiredo, McKenna, Bong, Yates, Cafu, Zinckernagel, Carvalho, Mighten, Taylor. Subs: Horvath, Grabban, Colback, Johnson, Fornah, Richardson, Harbottle.
