Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton names his team to face Rotherham United

Ryan Yates returned to the Nottingham Forest starting line-up as one of three changes made by boss Chris Hughton for the clash with Rotherham United.

The midfielder was included in the XI for the first time since his return from injury, with James Garner the man to miss out.

Yates had made his comeback as a substitute in Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers, but was set to step in for Garner against the Millers as the Manchester United loanee dropped to the bench.

Meanwhile, Gaetan Bong replaced Yuri Ribeiro at left-back, with the Portuguese not included in the squad, and Luke Freeman came in for Alex Mighten.

The latter scored the winning goal at the weekend, but was named among the substitutes for tonight’s clash.

Forest were set to line up with a back four of Cyrus Christie, Tobias Figueiredo, Joe Worrall - named as captain - and Bong, ahead of goalkeeper Brice Samba.

Yates would partner Cafu in the centre of the pitch, with Freeman set to team up with Filip Krovinovic and Anthony Knockaert in attack.

With Lewis Grabban sidelined through injury, Glenn Murray retained his place up front.

Along with Mighten and Garner, Jordan Smith, Loic Mbe Soh, Jack Colback, Carl Jenkinson, Joe Lolley, Tyler Blackett and Lyle Taylor were named on the bench.

Forest: Samba, Christie, Figueiredo, Worrall, Bong, Cafu, Yates, Freeman, Krovinovic, Knockaert, Murray. Subs: Smith, Mbe Soh, Colback, Jenkinson, Mighten, Lolley, Blackett, Taylor, Garner.
