Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton names his team to face Middlesbrough

Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton named an unchanged line-up for the clash with Middlesbrough at the City Ground.

The Reds went into the Championship match unbeaten in their last seven outings and having toppled Millwall 3-1 at the weekend.

And Hughton stuck with the starting XI which had defeated the Lions on Saturday.

The partnership of Scott McKenna and Joe Worrall had impressed in the centre of the defence, and the duo kept their places, with Cyrus Christie and Yuri Ribeiro at right and left-back respectively, ahead of goalkeeper Brice Samba.

Forest were once again set to deploy a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Samba Sow and Ryan Yates to fill the midfield spots.

Fresh from his brace at the weekend, Sammy Ameobi would form part of an attacking trio alongside Cafu and Alex Mighten, in support of lone striker Lewis Grabban, who once again would wear the captain’s armband.

Hughton also named an unchanged substitutes’ bench.

It featured Jordan Smith, Tobias Figueiredo, Loic Mbe Soh, Gaetan Bong, Carl Jenkinson, Miguel Angel Guerrero, Joe Lolley, Anthony Knockaert and Lyle Taylor.

Forest: Samba, Christie, Worrall, McKenna, Ribeiro, Sow, Yates, Mighten, Cafu, Ameobi, Grabban. Subs: Smith, Figueiredo, Mbe Soh, Bong, Jenkinson, Guerrero, Lolley, Knockaert, Taylor.
